But … Do you think that Bordeaux is only a city where everything revolves around wine? Well, you would be surprised!
We do not offer you a stay like any others: we offer you to experience 3 days in the boots of a Bordeaux inhabitant.
From the streets of the historic city to the Médoc vineyards, passing by the Arcachon Bay on the Atlantic coast, we will take you around to discover the variety of our territory.
The partners of JCI Bordeaux will be honoured, as eager as we are, to make you taste our way of life.

What to expect ?
Visit the heart of Bordeaux, discover our local whiskey distillery, climb the highest Dune in Europe and boat trip on our beautiful Atlantic coast, visit a winery and stroll through the vineyards of the Médoc region… These are some of the opportunities we offer you to live during this pretour.

9:30am – 11:30am/12pm:
Visit the Cathedral Notre Dame de Chartres a UNESCO world heritage Centre.
Exclusive Visit of its rooftop.
During your tour of the cathedral, you will be surprised by the extraordinary architectural unity of the building. Built and decorated between 1134 and 1260, registered by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, it is the most complete and best preserved of the Gothic cathedrals. From disastrous fires to resolute rebuilding, you will discover the richness of its history and will appreciate the passion of the local inhabitants and their bishops to restore numerous reversals of fortune.
2:30pm – 4:30pm: Your choice!
– Visit a cosmetic valley Leader company. (Tour duration: 2 hours)
Guided tour to discover the company’s process of manufacturing a cosmetic lotion.
Round table to discuss the company’s sustainability engagement, the Global goals JCI is committed to and/or their strategic Business Decisions.
– Visit the Stained-Glass Museum of Chartres. (Tour duration: 1½ hours)
A detailed demonstration of the techniques used to create a glass-and-lead window (cutting the antique glass, assembling the lead rods, painting, and the development of techniques from the Middle Ages to the present day).
A guided tour of the exhibitions and stained-glass window collections on show in the museum.
– Visit a Master Glass Artist’s workshop. (Tour duration: 1 hour / 1½ hours)
It is in this factory on the outskirts of Chartres, the world’s stained-glass capital, that the Loire family has for 3 generations been crafting the works of art to be found in religious and public buildings all over the world.
5pm: Free time (Local Jaycees will be happy to give you a tour around!)
7pm: Cocktail dinner with our local partners.
10:30pm: Tourist Train / Chartres in lights.
Night’s guided tours will take you for a commented stroll to discover more than 20 monuments and sites: the light will be shed on technical and scenographies, all being part of Chartres’ light show.
